Berriewood Farm is a friendly family run business which has been providing expert tuition in horse care and riding for over 20 years. It is a popular place for people to train for and take their British Horse Society exams at all levels. In fact the British Horse Society recognised our commitment to raising standards and, from feedback from all those involved in the exam process, made us the very first exam centre of excellence in Great Britain.

Our basic exam training will be as follows. If you would like to ride at other times, we can arrange private or shared lessons through the week Tuesday to Friday and occasionally at weekends.
Short Courses
1 to 3 days immediately before stages 1, 2 and 3. These usually run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and include Stable Management and Riding.
If nobody has booked on these sessions 2 weeks before they run, we may need to cancel. PLEASE BOOK EARLY
Routine Career training
Usually held weekly during term-time as follows:-
Daytime Tuesday Stages 1 & 2 Riding 2 hours pm
Thursday Stages 2 & 3 Riding 2 hours am
Evening Evening sessions do not always have spaces so Please book well in advance
Tuesday 7pm-8pm Stage 2 Riding
Wednesday 7.30pm-8.30pm Stage 3/4 Most weeks
Intermediate Teaching and Stage 4 training
We have some training – usually on Fridays – please phone for dates.
COSTS
Please note that all payments for training must be made at time of booking.
Should you need to cancel, provided we have at least 2 days notice
the full amount will be credited to further lessons.
(all credits to be used within 6 months)

If there are only one or two riders you will be offered a lesson at the private or semi-private rate.

The rates are our training rates and are based on 3 or more people in a session. If there are only 1 or 2 people, you will be offered a lesson at the private or semi-private rate. Please see the current lesson price list. Normal lesson prices will also apply if you book exam training outside our allotted exam training times.
